I have the honour to transmit to you the enclosed copy of a letter from the Honourable Captain Superintendent of Police and to inform you that subject to sanction, I have approved the reduction in the number of European Constables which Mr. May recommends and have caused the necessary alterations to be made in the Estimates for 1902.
